SOLACE Scotland has a new vice chair

North Ayrshire Council's chief executive, Elma Murray, is to take up a high-profile post with the Scottish branch of SOLACE.

North Ayrshire Council's chief executive, Elma Murray, is to take up a high-profile post with the Scottish branch of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE).

Ms Murray, who will continue in her role at North Ayrshire, was officially appointed to the voluntary post of vice chair of SOLACE Scotland on 18 November. She will remain in the post for 12 months, after which, she will automatically assume the role of SOLACE Scotland chair.
