Ideas about what should be in an overarching statement of ethics for senior public service managers are being sought.

The Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) has been working with nine professional bodies, including those representing finance chiefs, lawyers, and children and adult service directors, to draw up a draft code of ethics.
