SOLACENet offers a new path for high-flyers

A new scheme for aspiring chief executives has been launched by SOLACE this week.

The SOLACENet programme aims to bridge the gap between the association's graduate scheme and its senior manager and chief executive support. All the chief executives in the UK have been asked to nominate a high-flying junior manager for the scheme, which will offer master classes and shadowing opportunities. SOLACE estimates there are 60,000 aspiring senior managers in local government. Membership is £10 a month, or £120 for a year.
