An environmentally-friendly deal to invest in a solar farm is expected to generate millions of pounds in vital funds for three councils.

Warrington Council, Newham LBC and Thurrock BC are among the first councils in the UK to buy clean-tech bonds in Swindon Solar Park through its owner, specialist investment management firm Rockfire Capital.
