A council accused of dragging its feet over moves to create a West Midlands combined authority is on the verge of backing the plan.

Solihull MBC leader Cllr Bob Sleigh had expressed doubts over whether a combined authority would ‘add significant additional value' for his council but will now seek approval to take forward detailed discussions.
