Somerset and Devon county councils have announced plans to merge their trading standards departments.

Somerset and Devon county councils have announced plans to merge their trading standards departments in a bid to deliver significant savings.

The plans will go before a meeting of Somerset Councty Council on 20 April and could lead to the creation of a joint trading service with offices in each county.
