Leicester city mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, has ruled out taking disciplinary action against a senior council official accused of helping to cancel parking tickets for a former cabinet member.

Sir Peter undertook a personal investigation into the involvement of Leicester City Council's chief operating officer, Andy Keeling, in quashing parking penalties incurred Cllr Rob Wann, when he held the ceremonial lord mayor's role in 2010.
