The devolution of vehicle excise duty (VED) will be among the options expected to be considered by a London Finance Commission-style investigation over the coming months.

Director of South East Councils, Sean McKee, said ‘everything should be explored' by the ‘serious investigation into appropriate fiscal levers' for his region, which is expected to report early next year.
