South Yorkshire mayor Oliver Coppard has said he is ‘devastated' by the announcement that Doncaster Sheffield Airport is to shut.

The decision was made by the Peel Group following months of negotiations between local authorities across South Yorkshire and Peel to find viable alternatives to closure.
