Trade union members began a week of industrial action in Southampton on Monday, in protest at the city council’s spending cuts.

Trade union members began a week of industrial action in Southampton on Monday, in protest at the city council's spending cuts.

Refuse workers from the Unite and Unison unions started a week-long strike on Monday, while other members in the local authority have worked to rule, with no overtime, private car and personal mobile phone use.
