Ailing healthcare group Southern Cross has cut its rents by 30% for the next months.

Ailing healthcare group Southern Cross has cut its rents by 30% for the next months in a fresh bid to avoid bankruptcy.

The cash-strapped firm had been in negotiations with its main landlords over the last few weeks over deferring payments over the summer, but the company announced yesterday that it was cutting them unilaterally from today until 30 September.
