Troubled healthcare firm Southern Cross is reportedly planning to surrender 132 care homes in a bid to ease its financial problems.

Troubled healthcare firm Southern Cross is reportedly planning to surrender 132 care homes in a bid to ease its financial problems.

According to the Financial Times, the care home operator has drawn up an exit strategy with 47 homes to be handed back to landlords by 30 September, and a further 85 will go by the end of 2016.
