Southwark LBC Annie Shepperd has announced she is quitting after five years in the post.

She told The MJ she had 'completed every project I have been asked to do' and felt it was time to move on. She added: 'I feel it's time to something different. I intend leaving next May to give the council time to find a successor and plan for the Olympics. I'm keeping an open mind about what to do next and in what sector but I'm not ruling out another chief's job. I'm taking a step back to consider my options.'
