Sparks: councils cannot take further budget cuts

Councils will tell the next government in 2015 that the sector cannot take any more cuts, the chair of the Local Government Association tells SOLACE Summit.

Councils will tell the next government in 2015 that the sector cannot take any more cuts, the chair of the Local Government Association (LGA) has said.

Cllr David Sparks told the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives summit in Liverpool that the sector should not have its budget slashed further and ‘enough is enough'.
