Tensions flared between social workers and senior management at crisis hit Kirklees MBC after social workers claimed they had been ‘ignored' since their two-day strike.

Staff resorted to industrial action in June over concerns caseloads were overburdened, new systems had not been implemented and promises over recruitment and transparency had been broken.
