Sparks holds his Dudley seat by a margin

Local Government Association Labour Group leader David Sparks narrowly held his seat in the Dudley MBC elections, as UKIP increased its share of the vote.

 Local Government Association Labour Group leader David Sparks narrowly held his seat in the Dudley MBC elections, as UKIP increased its share of the vote. 

 The Dudley leader regained his Quarrybank and Dudley Wood seat by 1224 votes to 1120, just 104 votes ahead of UKIP's Helen Wimlett – but Labour held the council with 40 seats to the Conservative's 20, and UKIP's 9.
