The Children’s Commissioner’s Takeover Challenge is a children and young people’s engagement project which sees organisations across England opening their doors to young people to make their voices heard. Cassie* expresses her views on social care

I'm 17 years old and have recently spent a day shadowing Alison O'Sullivan and Dave Hill, who are the president and vice president of the Association of Directors of Children Services. Alison is also the director for children and young people in the area where I live.

The chance to shadow Alison and Dave was part of the Takeover Challenge, which is a national event and means young people can get some experience of work.
