The leader of Staffordshire CC has called on the Government to give it a bigger role in care in light of the failures of the local NHS trust.

Speaking ahead of the Trust Special Administrators announcement on the proposal for the future of the scandal-ridden Mid Staffordshire NHS Trust – expected later today -  Cllr Philip Atkins said a single Trust should be created for integrated care.
