So, are you in or are you out? The big question of the week, as the political media exploded in a frenzy of Euro positioning. What will it mean for immigration, the economy, jobs – and the future of the Conservative Party? More to the point, what will it mean for local government? The truth is, no one is absolutely clear.

While much of the sector remains neutral, the implications could be huge. Liverpool City Council's mayor Joe Anderson has been tweeting a list of regeneration projects which would never have happened without European cash. And Liverpool is not alone – one of the reasons the Core Cities have come out in favour of staying in the EU.
