Barrow BC wasn't kidding when it described its latest job vacancy as a ‘unique opportunity'.

The council is looking for a landlord to run the Ship Inn. Sounds fairly mundane, if not for the fact it's located on the island of Piel, half a mile out in Morecambe Bay, with regular ferries limited to the summer months.
