Stoke on Trent City Council appoint assistant chief executive

Stoke on Trent City Council have announced the appointment of a new chief executive.

Charlie Stewart, strategic director of resources at Brighton and Hove City Council, has been appointed assistant chief executive at Stoke on Trent City Council.

He describes himself as having a career in three stages: 'First in the Royal Air Force as a supply officer looking after supply chain and logistics, then in the commercial world including a few years as a supply chain consultant, finally, for the last few years, in local government.'
