Diary hears whispers that Waltham Forest LBC chief executive, Martin Esom, is keen to make more of his area's links to 1990s boyband East 17.

For those not up to speed with this esteemed period of musical history, East 17's first album was called Walthamstow and the band's relationship to the locality is ‘deep, deep down,' with all of its founding members coming from the borough.
