Strategic Director: Children's Services up to £119k

When you've got a great story to tell you want to make sure the world gets to hear about it. That's why we want to shout about the great things that are happening here in Leicester.

We have made much progress in recent years – driven by the successful implementation of our Children and Young People's plan. We have more good and outstanding schools than ever before.

Children and young people are safer, more engaged in their learning and leisure activities, and more likely to be in employment, education and training when they leave school. But we want to do more. And we're looking for a new Strategic Director of Children's Services who can continue our story.

You'll bring transformational leadership experience from a relevant role in the sector. You'll relish the opportunity to work in a dynamic political environment, working with colleagues across the city to deliver rapid change and continuous improvement.

These are challenging times, and we'll be looking for a leader with the tenacity, drive and clarity of vision to motivate and inspire our teams. Crucially, you'll put Leicester's Children and Young People at the heart of everything you do.

In return, you'll find an exciting, vibrant city, with a powerful community spirit – and an employer who will support you every step of the way.
