Around a third of public complaints about ‘red tape' invited under Government plans to slash bureaucracy have turned out to be myths and misunderstandings, communities minister Andrew Stunell has revealed.

The Department for Communities and Local Government created a Barrier Busting section on its website last December to help people ‘overcome bureaucracy and get things done in their neighbourhood'.
