NHS Shared Business Services has launched a new procurement initiative in a bid to help save the healthcare sector around £1bn over the next five years.

The NHS SBS Commercial Procurement Solutions service has been specifically developed to drive down costs and create efficiency savings for the NHS. The service is expected to save NHS trusts around £200m a year.
