MPs have been urged to use a debate on the Public Services Bill next month to show how serious they are about the Big Society and the voluntary sector.

MPs have been urged to use a debate on the Public Services Bill next month to show how serious they are about the Big Society and the voluntary sector.

The Public Bill committee will consider the Private Member's Bill next month which, if it becomes law, will make councils commission services on the grounds of economic, social or environmental wellbeing, rather than just on cost alone.
