Supporting climate action for the sake of health

Climate action isn't just about safeguarding the planet's future; it's about improving our health today, says deputy leader of Oxfordshire CC Cllr Pete Sudbury.

There are a number of things local authorities can do to tackle climate change for the sake of the health of residents; from improving the quality of our housing stock and better, safer transport, from green social prescribing and better green space.

That's why our director of public health, Ansaf Azhar, has focused his annual report this year on the health impacts of climate change.
