Surrey CC has agreed to hand over the management of 10 libraries to local volunteers, despite losing a legal battle over the issue.

Surrey CC has agreed to hand over the management of 10 libraries to local volunteers, despite losing a legal battle over the issue earlier this year.

The council's cabinet voted last week to hand over the libraries to 300 volunteers, who have already undergone training, and to have them all up and running by 2013.
