Survey: Councils show little appetite for weekly bin regimes

A Press Association survey has shown a small sample of local authorities have little appetite for a return to weekly bin collections.

A small sample of English local authorities has suggested little appetite for a return to weekly bin collections, a Press Association survey has shown.

The policy was launched by communities secretary, Eric Pickles, to much fanfare at the Tory conference last autumn, following the Spring 2011 Waste Review.
