Ex-Swansea chief takes up new top job at LGIU

Former Swansea CC boss, Tim Thorogood, has been appointed as new chief executive of the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU).

Mr Thorogood succeeds the outgoing chief executive, Dennis Reed who is retiring. Mr Thorogood was suspended as Swansea chief executive in January, pending an internal investigation following a planning row over his own home. The investigation was dropped when he resigned.
