Tackling local places' resourcing and skills crisis together

Homes England and DLUHC have invested in Public Practice as a way of building the public sector’s capacity to improve places, with Oxford City Council as one of the success stories, says Poona Agrawal.

Since October 2017, Public Practice has worked with over 50 public sector authorities in London, the South East and the East of England to place more than 200 officers from multi-disciplinary backgrounds that expand the capacity of their place shaping teams.

Last week, Homes England and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) announced investment in Public Practice to expand our skills and capacity programme, enabling us to work with new authorities and increase our impact throughout England.
