Taking the next steps to integration

The Government’s response to the Dame Louise Casey review into integration has resulted in the creation of a bold draft communities strategy. Heather Jameson reports on the main findings.

When Dame Louise Casey completed her independent review into integration in the UK in December 2016, it painted a picture of a Britain divided.

It showed areas of segregation and fears of large-scale immigration and a lack of opportunities for swathes of the population on the basis of their socio-economic background, race, religion and gender.
