After much negotiation and deliberation, Calderdale MBC has transferred Hebden Bridge Town Hall to a community association. Trustee Andrew Bibby explains the journey from the community approach.

Hebden Bridge Town Hall is, in many respects, just like 100 other public buildings in small towns across the country. Built in the last years of the 19th century, it reflected local civic pride, serving for generations as a base for the urban district council and the centre of local democracy.
