Another pensioner is facing a spell in prison for refusing to pay her council tax.

Sixty-nine-year-old Josephine Rooney has refused to pay the almost £800 levied by Derby City Council on the grounds that the authority has failed to improve her neighbourhood. The council is seeking a court date to enforce the issue.
