Edinburgh City Council has been accused of ferrying homeless folk to Aberdeen and Glasgow while preparing for the arrival of pop megastar Taylor Swift.

Critics alleged that tourist hotspot Edinburgh – one of several Scottish councils to declare a housing emergency – was trying to free up extra accommodation for Swifties and, in doing so, cleared hotels providing shelter to the homeless.
