Tenants appeal against Olympics missiles

A group of East London council tenants are today challenging plans to site military surface-to-air missiles on the roof of their tower block during the Olympics.

A group of East London council tenants are today challenging plans to site military surface-to-air missiles on the roof of their tower block during the Olympics.

Residents of the Fred Wigg tower in Leytonstone will go to the High Court seeking to prevent the deployment of the military weapons , claiming it breaches their human rights because they were not consulted properly or fairly.
