Tendring chief donates pay rise to lowest paid staff

Tendring DC chief executive Ian Davidson has forsaken his annual pay rise to ensure the council’s lower paid staff get a wage boost.

Tendring DC chief executive Ian Davidson has forsaken his annual pay rise to ensure the council's lower paid staff get a wage boost.

Mr Davidson, who has held the top post at Tendring for five years has insisted the £2,076 increase he is entitled, to in line with the rest of local government, should instead be paid to cleaners, theatre staff and leisure workers.
