Thanet DC appoints new chief

Thanet DC is set to appoint Madeline Homer as its new chief executive on Thursday, following the departure of Dr Sue McGonigal at the end of last year.

Thanet DC is set to appoint Madeline Homer as its new chief executive on Thursday, following the departure of Dr Sue McGonigal at the end of last year.

Dr McGonigal's absence began after Thanet councillors launched an investigation into a complaint that she had influenced a planning decision in her capacity as a member of the management board of East Kent Opportunities - a partnership jointly owned by the district, Kent CC and Rose Farm Estates.
