Ticket to independence in Lancashire

Helping adults with physical disabilities and those over 65 stay healthy and independent for longer is a key challenge. But there are ways services can change to ensure people’s lives are transformed for the better. Louise Taylor explains

Ensuring people remain self-sufficient and enjoy a better quality of life is something we should all aim for. In Lancashire, our Passport to Independence Programme (P2I) took on this challenge and saw us look at new ways of working to see how we could make it happen.

At the core was ensuring staff spent more time with service users and less time on administrative tasks.
