Influential committee of Welsh assembly members say there is a 'clear public health case' for councils to provide better public toilets.

There is ‘a clear public health case' for councils to provide better public toilets, according to a report by an influential committee of Welsh assembly members (AM).

The British Toilet Association told AMs the number of public toilets had reduced by about 40% in recent years. Mark Drakeford AM, chair of the health and social care committee, said it was an ‘issue for those with disabilities, or bladder and bowel conditions, or those with young children', and asked for local government experts to consider practical solutions.
