A tool to help councils make the most of social service budgets has been relaunched by the Audit Commission and the Improvement and Development Agency (IdeA).

Making ends meet at www.makingendsmeet. idea.gov.uk offers information to councillors and managers to help them plan and deliver cost-effective services. It includes an updated section for adult services with new guidance on joint commissioning and developing partnerships.
