Diary has a soft spot for the 1980s Channel 4 series The Comic Strip Presents, which lampooned everything from heavy metal (Bad News) to Enid Blyton (Five Go Mad in Dorset).
The good news is that the team behind the show are currently filming a new spoof on tabloid journalism The Red Top! in the former offices of Plymouth City Council.
