Prime Minister David Cameron launched the Conservative Party's local government election campaign last week, appealing to the Government's efforts to protect household budgets through the continued council tax freeze grant.

Speaking in Nuneaton, Warwickshire on 29 April, Mr Cameron praised the achievements of Conservative-led local authorities in delivering better services at lower cost.
