More than 150 Tory councillors have backed the campaign to remain in the European Union (EU) as the countdown to next week's referendum continues.

A letter signed by the councillors, including the leaders of Westminster City Council, Hampshire CC and Sevenoaks DC, warned that leaving the EU would put ‘jobs in danger' and ‘funding for local schools and hospitals will fall'.
