A Tory town councillor has been suspended over an alleged racist email.

Ellenor Bland, who is a member of Calne Town Council, was reported to the Commission for Racial Equality over a poem sent from her email account. Mrs Bland has been suspended by the Conservatives, pending an investigation, but she insisted the email was ‘light-hearted'.
