The conduct of council meetings at Kensington and Chelsea RLBC has been in new hands from the beginning of the month, as executive director of finance, Nicholas Holgate, assumes the mantle of town clerk.

Mr Holgate will wear the traditional town clerk's wig and gown at municipal ceremonies, and also advise the mayor on points of order and other constitutional issues at full council meetings.
