Town clerk and chief exec to retire from City of London Corporation

City of London Corporation town clerk and chief executive to retire after 39 years of service in local government.

Chris Duffield is to retire as town clerk and chief executive of the City of London Corporation on 14 September, after more than 39 years' service in local government.

Prior to his appointment to the City of London in 2003, Mr Duffield worked at Bexley LBC where he was director of finance for four years before being appointed chief executive in 1995.
