Town hall staff agree pay cut to safeguard jobs

A Welsh council has agreed with staff to cut their pay, in a bid to reduce costs and meet its budget deficit.

Neath Port Talbot Council has brokered a deal with 7,000 staff which will see them taking up to a 2% pay cut, followed by a three-year pay freeze.
