Town halls lining up to bulk-buy cheap energy

The MJ has learned at least 30 new councils have confirmed their interest in developing community energy campaigns.

At least 30 new councils have confirmed their interest in developing community energy campaigns on behalf of residents struggling to cope with soaring fuel bills, The MJ has learned.

The councils have signed up to attend free community energy conferences later this year, following the Government's call for all local authorities to consider assisting with local provision of household energy.
