'Toxic cocktail' hits the workers

Workers are being hit by a ‘toxic cocktail' of low pay and high rent, which is forcing them on to housing benefit, Unison has warned.

On average, more than one-quarter – 26.13% – of people claiming housing benefit are in work, rising to more than 45% in the South East Hart and Test Valley area, Hampshire.
